Definitions
hardware
Computer hardware refers to the physical parts of a computer and related devices. Internal hardware devices include motherboards, hard drives, and RAM. External hardware devices include monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, and scanners.
software
Software consists of the programs and applications that run on computers. Because software runs on computer hardware, software programs often have system requirements that list the minimum hardware required for the software to run.
online technologies
Devices and services connected to the internet that afford flexible communication and connectivity for the user. Nevertheless, sometimes the conjunction ‘and’ is used between ‘online’ and ‘digital’ to include the reference to devices or experiences that do not afford or imply a connection to the internet.
PRE-PRODUCTION
Technology that was used during the research and planning stage:
MOBILE PHONE
I used my mobile phone for practical tasks and workshops in class. I also took photos of the locations we were going to film at. I documented the equipment we used in the lessons with my phone camera. I also filmed our practice shoot on my phone.

EDITING APPS/PROGRAMMES
Over lockdown I edited footage from workshops or test shoots on my phone or computer using iMovie. This helped my gain basic editing skills.

SNAPCHAT/TEXT/EMAIL
I used Snapchat to communicate with my group. Email to communicate with all the actors and my teacher. Text was used for basic comunication within the group.

YOUTUBE/NETFLIX/PRIME
I used these platforms to research real films, film credits and titles and different film genres. I used Youtube to also release my edited footage from workshops.

ASOS
This is an online clothing store that I used to buy costumes for our actors, for example I bought a white oversized shirt and black jeans for Freya's character.

ONLINE STORYBOARDING SITES
One of the people in my group used an online storyboard site, I on the other hand used paper to draw on a draft storyboard.

NEWS WEBSITE
​ I used multiple websites for research, for example BBC News.

PRODUCTION
Technology I used during filming day
Camera
We used the Black Magic camera to film the footage we also used a tripod for some specific shots.
Microphone
My group used the porcelain microphone in every shot, apart from the shots that were shot inside the car, the only time we used sound in our sequence was in our last shot of Georgie saying: "Rupert Bardsley?"
Monitor
The monitor was used through the whole process of editing in the editing suit. We edited all our footage on an Apple Mac, using the Premier Pro Adobe software.
Mobile Phone
I used my day through out the shoot day to take photographs of the actors, locations and equipment, these photographs were later used in our group's blogs.
POST PRODUCTION

Sound / Music software
I Movie
Adobe Premiere Pro
I researched music on the Band Camp website and then for the opening title sequence we decided to use an audio that was installed already in the monitor.
My group used I Movie to practice our editing skills.
This is the software we used for editing our footage for the opening title sequence.

Zoom
Our group used Zoom for communication, especially over lockdown.
Mobile Phone
I used my mobile phone to document locations we filmed at, the equipment etc.

Cameras were used to film footage for the opening title sequence.

I used powerpoint for research on topics related to our opening sequence.
Photoshop
This software was used for editing photographs for my media blog.
